I'm moving to New York for work for a year in September and want to keep up reffing across the Atlantic. Has anyone been in a similar situation before and have any tips?
I presume I have to sign up to the US FA... any advice from any American refs here would be welcomed!

You need to speak to your CFA, they will arrange the transfer to the USA.

In terms of what happens when you are there I can't help I'm afraid.

What part of New York? There are two state associations:

West: http://www.wnyreferee.org/
East: http://www.eny-soccer-referees.org/
