I never knew a referee got paid a match fee until i attended the basic course. Now i've been refereeing for three years and i have bought all the kit i require plus more. I updated it when the new PGMO kit was released for sale and now use the fee for various things. I would love to hear out of interest what does your fee go on. If you choose other then i would love to hear what it goes on. I enjoy being a referee and at times the match fee i receive is too much as i'm proberly the one on the pitch who enjoys a game of football the most.

I try to save up enough to cover the kit and education costs for the coming year. The rest goes to whatever. Since me and the missus share economy we usually use it to go out and eat or do something together every now and then or an occasional new PS3 game or something else that is fun. We have, once, been known to empty the whole referee piggybank and gone to town to close every place available. Didn't feel too good the day after. laugh.gif

A few beers when the weekend's reffing is over and updating kit. With pay cuts the norm (for some) in this country at the moment it is now my only pocket money!

In the current climate, my money goes on filling the car with diesel for the week.

As you should be paying tax if you are making a profit from your "fee" I think this is a dangerous thread!!

Mine used to go the same way and the spare bits left over paid for my lunch at work. I really miss it now sad.gif Assessment fees are only paid at the end of the season, but then again they will provide spending cash for my first trip to Glastonbury biggrin.gif

I wonder where all that tax goes, other than on duck houses, certain movies, and holidays to france...

I spent this months fees last night - i'm hoping non of my games get postponed because of this!

I've had to click other...because it's a combination of something i want, the pub, a takeaway and a taxi fare!

You? In the pub Carl? Seriously?

Most of mine goes on petrol as my best friend lives 35 miles away, she doesn't drive and is scared of trains
